Community Resources

Community support plays a vital role in keeping our facilities operational. Donations from places of worship, individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations sustain each facility. Donations such as hygiene products, paper goods, and food are needed the most. Cash donations are used toward program and operational costs.

Volunteer

There are other ways the community can support Cenikor such as volunteering at the facilities or participating in one of our annual events. We have many different types of Volunteers. Some teach residents how to build things around the facility or lend a green thumb in our gardens. Others volunteer their time as a tutor or mentor, or hold a Bible study. In the fall, each facility has an awards luncheon which recognizes community members that have played a valuable part in making Cenikor the success that it is today. In the springtime, we have events like a golf tournament in Houston and sporting clay shoots in Forth Worth and Baton Rouge. Each event raises much-needed funds for our programs, facility operations, and improvements.
