Vocational Services

One of the key components to Cenikor's recovery process is work therapy for our male and female clients. Work therapy includes the rehabilitation, vocational enhancement, and skills of a resident. It is designed to develop and augment the skill levels for Cenikor residents and may involve maintenance, general and skilled labor, or production for one of our Community Business Partners.

Vocational Crews

Our crews go out to many types of businesses and perform whatever tasks need to be done. Our Community Business Partners like Cenikor residents because they know they are drug-free, highly motivated, and a stable crew willing to learn and meet a company's changing staffing needs.  Cenikor vocational crews' enthusiasm usually inspires other workers to do better. Many of these opportunities have motivated residents to change direction of their lives and go on to new careers.

Collaborating with our Community Business Partners, residents get the chance to learn new skills, thereby rebuilding their self-esteem by entering the workforce. Each day, residents are developing a work ethic and taking on responsibilities, some for the first time in their lives. These companies work with Cenikor to create training and rehabilitation opportunities as residents are eager to learn and make dependable future employees when they transition back into society.

In-House Work

Some of our residents get training by assuming responsibilities in the facility. They train in various departments such as Outreach, Finance, Food Services, Operations and many other positions that give residents a feel for a career. This helps them decide what they want to do when they graduate Cenikor.
