Outpatient Services at Cenikor
We offer Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) in person and virtually from the comfort of your home (VIOP). Outpatient care offers flexibility and affordability while allowing clients to maintain daily responsibilities. Clients receive outpatient care without requiring an overnight hospital stay or an inpatient recovery program all while they receive quality care from a licensed professional who specializes in addiction treatment services. It is a cost-effective and flexible alternative, this allows clients to maintain daily responsibilities such as work, school, or family obligations. Intensive Outpatient Programs offer structured therapy for several hours a few days a week.
1. What is involved in the treatment program?
Cenikor offers a structured and individualized treatment program designed to address all aspects of a person’s life. The process begins with a screening and assessment to determine the best course of action for each individual. The program includes individual and group counseling, personalized treatment planning, relapse prevention strategies, discharge planning, and urine analysis drug testing.
As part of our services, we provide an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)—a level of treatment for substance use disorders that falls between standard outpatient care and higher levels of treatment like residential inpatient programs or partial hospitalization (PHP). Research has shown that IOP treatment is as effective as inpatient programs for most individuals, providing a structured yet flexible path to recovery.
2. How long is the program?
The length of the program varies based on individual treatment plans. The typical duration is at least 10-12 weeks, but this may differ depending on personal progress and needs.
3. How long are the group sessions?
Group sessions are held for 3 hours per day, three days a week (Monday-Friday). The number of sessions an individual attends depends on their personalized treatment plan.
4. Do you use a curriculum?
Yes, Cenikor utilizes evidence-based trauma-informed substance use education curriculum to provide effective treatment and support for recovery. Clinical research has demonstrated that intensive outpatient treatment is a highly effective and viable approach for individuals seeking long-term recovery.
5. Do you provide parenting classes?
Yes, individuals admitted into the program receive group education and counseling using an evidence-based parenting curriculum specifically designed for those in recovery. A certificate of completion is provided upon successfully finishing the program.
6. Can anyone attend the parenting class?
No, due to client confidentiality, only individuals enrolled in the Outpatient program can attend parenting classes. However, referrals to other community agencies that provide parenting classes are available.
