Houston, TX, November 1, 2023– Cenikor Foundation, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health services, is pleased to announce the appointment of three distinguished professionals to its Board of Directors: Dr. Gail Vozzella, Mr. Pete W. Guilfoile, and Mr. Alonzo Harris.
Cenikor welcomes these individuals who will bring fresh perspectives, specialized experience, and expanded networks to the foundation’s leadership team.
Dr. Gail Vozzella, DNP, RN
Dr. Vozzella, known for furthering high-quality, patient-centered care, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Cenikor Board of Directors. Dr. Vozzella currently serves as a senior vice president, system chief nurse executive at Houston Methodist, and chief nursing executive for Houston Methodist Hospital. Since joining Houston Methodist, she has launched a nurse science fellowship program and further enhanced nursing education.
Her dedication to the field of nursing aligns perfectly with Cenikor’s vision of providing high-quality, evidence-based programs to the communities it serves.
Pete W. Guilfoile
Mr. Guilfoile, an accomplished business leader, brings a unique perspective to Cenikor’s Board of Directors. Mr. Guilfoile retired after a successful career in banking, serving in roles at Comerica Bank such as chief credit officer, executive vice president, and a member of the bank’s executive management committee.
Since retirement, Mr. Guilfoile has been deeply involved in several initiatives including serving on nonprofit boards such as Project Still I Rise and as chairman of Turtle Creek Recovery Center.
His business acumen and strategic insights will be invaluable in guiding Cenikor’s growth and sustainability.
Alonzo Harris
Mr. Harris, an advocate for those affected by substance use disorder and domestic violence, joins the Cenikor Board of Directors with an impressive track record in real estate with experience in all aspects of land, mixed-use, and residential development. He has been instrumental in assisting women to re-enter society following incarceration, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering positive change within our communities.
His passion for social impact is well-aligned with Cenikor’s core values.
