Hays County knows first hand the incredibly devastating impacts of a drug overdose.
During the 2022-2023 school year, six Hays CISD students lost their lives to fentanyl poisoning.
“This tragedy underscores the critical need for ongoing education and intervention,” said Stephanie Nasr, Cenikor prevention specialist. “By raising awareness about opioid and drug misuse, we hope to cultivate a more informed community, better equipped to recognize the signs of overdose and take life-saving actions.”
