Our Treatment Approach

We emphasize an integrated approach to treatment that includes effective elements of the therapeutic community along with a clinical focus on high-quality therapies, medications, and behavioral health curriculums that can be tailored to each client’s specific needs.

From a medical standpoint

Addiction is a chronic disease that can happen to anyone; it does not discriminate.

When you take a drug, your brain releases a flood of dopamine. However, over time the brain’s circuits adapt and become less sensitive to dopamine. Achieving the pleasurable sensation becomes increasingly important, but at the same time, you build tolerance and need more and more of that substance to generate the level of high you crave.

Treatment Planning

Treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all, so you will get a treatment plan unique to you.

Clients play a large role in determining and completing their treatment goals, building a foundation for lifelong recovery. After a thorough assessment, clients receive a personalized treatment plan that details each phase of their recovery journey. This roadmap gives them a clear overview of their treatment options and milestones, and their recovery services are layered in.

Depending on the individual, the roadmap could include recommended levels of care, preventative care, outpatient support, and a maintenance plan for when they leave inpatient treatment that could include attending meetings or being involved with recovery support specialists.

Family Support

Loved ones are invited to take part in our Families First program.

These sessions are designed to educate them on the recovery process and how to best support you in your recovery. Family counseling sessions are available at the discretion of your counselor.

Twelve Step-Based

Clients are introduced to Twelve Step programs as an evidence-based approach to helping them find and maintain sobriety.

“Twelve Step facilitation therapy is a tried-and-true proven approach,” according to the American Society of Addiction Medicine. These programs provide a built-in support group of people who are going through the same experience. It’s all about building connection, living by spiritual principles, and helping others, which are some of the needed ingredients in recovery.
