Houston, Texas, August 31st, 2022 – Cenikor, a leading provider of substance and alcohol treatment is pleased to announce that it will receive an $844,269 award from Harris County Commissioners’ Court. The award comes from the American Rescue Plan Act, Local Fiscal Recovery Funds for Public Health Services (ARPA-LFRF), which is a stimulus package that provides economic relief to businesses and local governments that were impacted by Covid-19.
Cenikor is a leading substance and alcohol use treatment provider that offers a broad spectrum of care. Since our founding in 1967, Cenikor has served thousands of individuals in recovery services. Since our founding, Cenikor has served over 300,000 individuals at our facilities. Cenikor will be using the funding allocated from the Harris County ARPA funds to increase peer recovery support and to create additional recovery support housing. In addition to this, Cenikor will also allocate these funds to go toward medication-assisted treatment services. Each of these funding allocations will be used at our Houston facility to assist the residents of Harris County.
Cenikor provides Harris County constituents with substance use disorder a continuum of care that includes recovery housing, which provides an opportunity for our indigent clients who qualify for medication-assisted treatment services to transition into a supportive living environment.
